The IAMP is a global association for the Managing Partners of local, national and international law firms. Founded in London in 2004, it has grown to a worldwide membership of more than 450 individuals, ranging from sole practitioners to the leaders of some of the world’s largest law firms.
The association provides a forum for senior lawyers to co-operate on matters of professional interest, expand their network, share know-how, refer cases and discuss topics in a non-competitive environment, both virtually and face-to-face with like-minded lawyers of a similar seniority.
Unlike other associations which concentrate on a firm’s specific practice areas or regional coverage, the IAMP places its focus on the experience, seniority and decision-making capabilities of its members as individuals. We benefit from the participation of MP’s from law firms of all sizes, geographic coverage and practice area focus.
The aim of the International Association of Managing Partners is to increase communication between the worlds managing partners, provide a leading platform for events and encourage networking and referrals between members. In 2017 we will be welcoming managing partners from outside of the legal industry to join the association – further increasing referrals, business development oportunities and cross-industry networking.
The IAMP Advantage:
The IAMP is the perfect forum to strengthen connections with other managing partners around the world. Referral opportunities on a local, national or international level can be facilitated via our member events and digital member communication platforms.
The IAMP provides invaluable support to its members. We welcome news and publication contributions, provide introductions and facilitate referrals on a complimentary basis. Via our network of service providers, we are also able to provide recommendations and advice concerning marketing, business developments, public relations at reduced rates.
The IAMP acts as an information channel keeping members and the wider profession informed of legal developments and association news, via the website, the MP eNewsletter and our various social media platforms. Members are encouraged to contribute to relevant discussions, assist other members, share their opinions and valuable experience.
As our membership and global coverage continues to increase, regional IAMP networking events are being introduced as well as the annual Global IAMP Member Meeting. Members will also be able to host informal meetings supported by the association on a local level to further increase domestic and international communication.
